Soup: Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice


Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 cup sliced
carrot
1/2 cup sliced
celery
1/3 cup
wild rice
1/3 cup sliced
onion
1/2 teaspoon
dried thyme
2 tablespoons
butter
3 tablespoons
flour
1
cup half-and-half cream
1 1/2 cups cut-up cooked chicken
Directions
1.Mix broth, carrots, celery, uncooked rice, onions, thyme, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
2.Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour, until the rice is tender.
3.Melt butter, stir in the flour, then the half-half.
4.Cook and stir 1 minute. Slowly add half-half mixture to the rice mixture, stirring constantly. Stir in the chicken and heat through.

Tabouli


Tabouli is a Lebanese salad and is often served as part of a meza appetizer assortment, as well as on its own.

the ingredients:

. 1 cup medium bulgur wheat.

. 2-3 bunches parsley.

. 1-2 bunch of fresh mint.

. 2 bunches green onion.

. 4-5 ripe firm tomato.

. 3-5 lemon of,to taste.

. 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil.

. salt.


how to make it?


1-you have to wash the vegetables very well ( onion- tomato-parsley- mint).

2- chop the vegetables in very small pieces.

3- mix the ingredients together.

4- put the lemon and the olive oil.

5- put some salt.

6- put the salad in bowl with some leaves of lettuce.


it is very healthy because it is all green and doesn't have fat or cholesterol.
